Alcohol policy and strategies

Alcohol policy research takes a multidisciplinary approach to social, health and regulatory issues throughout Australia and overseas. Collaborations with colleagues in North America and Europe maintain a solid international contribution to the aetiology of disease and injury and state and local-level projects cover such issues as alcohol use and related harm among young people and associations between trading hours, density of licensed premises, violence and road crash injury and death.

Highly regarded continuing projects include the National Alcohol Indicators Project (NAIP), which has monitored changes in alcohol-related harms since 1999, and the National Alcohol Sales Data project.
