This research involves the implementation and evaluation, across Victoria, of a comprehensive, evidence-based drug education program for junior high school students. The industry partner for the project is the Victorian Department for Education and Early Childhood Development. Melbourne University is a collaborating academic institution. Oxford Brookes University, in the United Kingdom, is also involved in the consortium through a partner investigator. The intervention has been previously tested in small scale pilot research. The findings from this project will immediately shape the future of drug education in government secondary schools in Victoria, but through diffusion, the benefit will eventually be national.
