Tangentyere Council is the major service delivery agency for the 18 Housing Associations known as ‘town camps’ in Alice Springs. Among its various programs it conducted a 'Family Wellbeing Program'. This program was evaluated in a collaborative project between Tangentyere Council and NDRI and was designed to strenghten the capacity of Tangentyere Council to conduct its own research and evaluation activities. It was planned so that data collection and analysis was conducted by Tangentyere Council staff with oversight and support from NDRI. A report on the program found it to be effective and provided recommendations for further program development.
