NDRI’s Advisory Board reflects our national scope, comprising of members from around Australia. Members are drawn from stakeholders including Aboriginal Australians, law enforcement, non-government services, public health, the wider community, consumers, academia and research. The role of the Board is to support and advise the Director in the effective governance of the Institute.
Mr Michael Moore
Michael Moore is President of the World Federation of Public Health. He has been on the NDRI Board since 2009 as a national/other state representative.
Superintendent Mark Gilbert
Mark Gilbert is a Superintendent with the Western Australian Police Force. He joined the NDRI Board in 2018 as proxy for the WA Police Assistant Commissioner, who is the nominee of the WA Police Commissioner.
Ms Ann Deanus
Ann Deanus is Chief Executive Officer of Women's Health Services in Western Australia. She has been on the NDRI Board since 2008 as the non-government sector representative.
Ms Linda Savage
Linda Savage is a lawyer and convenor of the Valuing Children Initiative. She joined the NDRI Board in May 2016 as a Western Australia state representative.
Ms Juanita Koeijers
Juanita Koeijers has a background in community mental health and drug and alcohol services. She joined the NDRI Board in 2018 as a consumer representative.
Mr Terry Slevin
Terry Slevin is the Chief Executive Officer of the Public Health Association of Australia in Canberra, ACT. He joined the NDRI Board in 2018 as a national/other state representative.
Dr Victoria Hovane
Victoria Hovane is the Study Director at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health, Australian National University. She joined the NDRI Board in 2019 and has expertise in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues.
Dr Amanda Stafford
Amanda Stafford is the Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine at Royal Perth Hospital, Western Australia. She joined the NDRI Board in 2019 as a State representative.
Professor Chris Moran
Chris Moran is Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research at Curtin University. He joined the NDRI Board in mid-2017.
Professor Archie Clements
Archie Clements is Pro Vice Chancellor for the Faculty of Health Sciences at Curtin University. He joined the NDRI Board in 2018.
Professor Torbjorn Falkmer
Torbjorn Falkmer is Dean of Research and Graduate Studies for the Faculty of Health Sciences at Curtin University. He joined the NDRI Board in August 2016.
Professor Simon Lenton
Simon Lenton is Director of the National Drug Research Institute. He has been on the NDRI Board since becoming Director in September 2016.
Ms Fran Davis
Fran Davis is the Business Manager at NDRI.
Professor Steve Allsop
Steve Allsop is a Former Director and senior academic at NDRI.
NDRI’s Management Team is responsible for assisting the Director in the day to day management of the Institute.
