The National Drug Research Institute (NDRI) is one of the largest centres of alcohol and other drug research expertise in Australia. NDRI is based at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia, with a satellite office in Melbourne, Victoria.
NDRI is supported by core funding from the Australian Government under the Drug and Alcohol Program. Additional competitive funds are attracted from a range of state, national and international funding bodies, such as the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and the Australian Research Council (ARC). The Institute also receives support from Curtin University.
NDRI is a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre for the Prevention of Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
