Phase 1

Room and Laslett et al. developed scoping studies and general population surveys and methods that were conducted in 6 countries plus Lao PDR and in Australia and New Zealand. An archive has been created at Centre for Alcohol Policy Research, La Trobe University which was then utilised to undertake a range of comparative analyses. Laslett spends her CAPR time (0.2) and some of her NDRI time working on this WHO/ThaiHealth Project. This has included a methodological paper and publication of findings from the archive about alcohol's harm to children. Laslett is the first named editor of a book emanating form the project titled, "Alcohol's harm to others: a crossnational study" that was forwarded to WHO on April 1, 2017.

Phase 2

Phase 2 of this projects involves developing a caseload project to study responses to alcohol's harm to others in health, police and family support service systems. Laslett' was funded by WHO and Thai Health to present at a an Open workshop on alcohol's harm to others in Bangkok on 28 Februray 2017 and to train, advice and meet with the Principal Investogators in the project March 1-3, 2017.
