This project was initiated by AGDoHA. It consisted of interviews with key stakeholders (e.g. police; health; treasury; liquor licensing staff; alcohol retail industry) to identify potential and actual impacts of compliance with national competition policy on alcohol consumption and related harm. A literature review was also completed. Finally, the report and recommendations were presented to an IGCD working party representing the various interest groups. The report, and recommendations for future actions were submitted to IGCD and thence on to MCDS. It is understood that IGCD are now progressing the recommendations.
