The Volunteer Drug and Alcohol Counsellors’ Training Program has been running in Perth since

1989, and in 2001 was awarded the prestigious Premier ’s Award for Public Sector Management, in the category of Social or Community Development.

Training is provided in both general and alcohol and other drug (AOD) counselling skills by specialists drawn from the AOD and related ?elds. On completion of the training program, participants will be involved in the provision of counselling services at various non-government AOD agencies. Ongoing supervision will be provided by experienced counsellors who will assist in case management.
