This proposal aims to enhance the capacity of the 19 Western Australian ACCHSs to work collaboratively in refining and delivering tobacco control strategies amongst their user populations. The project will draw on the support and expertise of a range of external stakeholders and mainstream models of tobacco control as well as formalising the transfer of skills and experiences, such as those of KAMSC and DAHS, throughout the AHCWA collective. We will also collaborate with Population Health Units, GP Divisions and WA Country Health Services and other hospitals to ensure that smoking cessation messages are consistent for Aboriginal people accessing care elsewhere.
