Swedish PhD student studying cannabis use visits NDRI’s Melbourne office

A PhD student whose research focuses on cannabis use in Sweden is spending a month at the National Drug Research Institute (NDRI). Josefin Månsson is a PhD student at the Centre for Social Research on Alcohol and Drugs (SoRAD) at Stockholm University in Sweden.

Based in NDRI's Melbourne office, Josefin will spend a month at the Institute working on her dissertation on cannabis discourses in Sweden. The focus of her dissertation is constructions of cannabis in official arenas such as service provider discussions, and unofficial arenas like internet discussions.

Josefin’s PhD research focuses on cannabis use in Sweden and she will present a paper on her work at the Victorian Substance Use Research Forum (VSURF), a monthly seminar jointly hosted by NDRI, the Burnet Institute and Turning Point.
