Search begins for new NDRI Director

Professor Simon Lenton has announced plans to step down as Director of the National Drug Research Institute (NDRI) after five years in the role to focus on his research activity.

As a consequence, an international recruitment process is underway to appoint a new NDRI Director. Simon will remain in the role until his successor is appointed.

“It’s been a great privilege to lead this outstanding team, which conducts research that has real-world impacts on alcohol and other drug harms in Australia and beyond,” he said.

“I’m excited about focussing on my own research under a new Director who can continue to develop this fantastic Institute.”

Applications for the NDRI Director position close on 9 August 2021. More information is available here.
