Implementation science is a rapidly emerging field of research that offers insights for multiple disciples. Subsequently, to increase the speed and impact of research findings (eg policies or interventions) the application of implementation science principles - implementation practice - is becoming a focus. This presentation will introduce implementation science, implementation practice and provide examples of implementation projects.

Joanna Moullin is a implementation science researcher, experienced in dissemination and implementation theory, implementation research methodologies and measurement development. She completed a joint PhD between Australia (University of Technology Sydney) and Spain (University of Granada) applying and advancing the field of implementation science in community pharmacy. She subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Diego, under Professor Gregory A Aarons. A pharmacist by profession, she now focuses on implementation across a range of diverse clinical and community settings.
