Curtin Lunchbox Lecture Series: "Drugs and work - what's going on?"

There are few days without a headline about alcohol and other drugs impacting on individual consumers, first responders, family members and the broad community. But what do we know about impact in the workplace? Should we be more concerned about potential and actual harm? What should employers and employees be doing to prevent problems arising in the workplace and to effectively respond?

Professor Steve Allsop will discuss the evidence about alcohol and other drug use, and related problems, in the Australian community and discuss how these might impact on work. Professor Allsop will present evidence about the workplace impact of alcohol and other drug use, including methamphetamine use, and describe the range of options, and evidence, about responses.
