International recruitment process for new NDRI Director

As travel is opening up with the new ‘COVID normal’ in 2022, an international recruitment process has been re-launched to appoint a new National Drug Research Institute (NDRI) Director.

Last year, Professor Simon Lenton announced plans to step down as Director of the National Drug Research Institute (NDRI) after five years in the role to focus on his research activity. Simon will remain in the role until his successor is appointed.

“It’s been a great privilege to lead this outstanding team, which conducts research that has real-world impacts on alcohol and other drug harms in Australia and beyond,” he said.

“I’m excited about focussing on my own research under a new Director who can continue to develop this fantastic Institute.”
