HDR opportunity: Better access to opioid dependence treatment

A transformation is under way in Australia’s Opioid Dependence Treatment Program (ODTP), with new reforms dramatically reducing the cost of treatment.

This project will use data from Australia’s largest and longest running prospective study of people who inject drugs to evaluate the impact of these changes in cost on ODTP uptake, retention, and health and substance use-related outcomes.

The candidate will work with a team of other PhD candidates studying at the National Drug Research Institute and the Burnet Institute in Melbourne.
