NDRI Webinar: The unmet needs of women who use drugs

Facilitated by NDRI Research Fellow Dr Sam Colledge-Frisby, NDRI's July webinar will address the unmet reproductive and parenting needs of women who use drugs, showcasing three presenters.

Dr Ash Stewart (Research Fellow, Burnet Institute) will share epidemiological data on contraception uptake, pregnancies and terminations among women who inject drugs in Melbourne, Victoria.

Dr Jocelyn Chan (Addiction Medicine Physician and Researcher, Western Health and Burnet Institute) will present on parenting and child removal among people who inject drugs, sharing data from a longitudinal cohort study and also speaking to clinical experience.

Louise Hughes (Peer Treatment Support Services Manager, CAHMA) will share her own experience of child removal and reunification and describe the Peer Treatment Support program and how it supports parents through the Child Protection Services family reunification process.
