On behalf of the Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Council, the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care, the Health Department of Western Australia, and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission, the Centre for Aboriginal Medical and Dental Health at the University of Western Australia was contracted to prepare a health plan for the Kimberley Region. To assist with development of the plan, the National Drug Research Institute conducted a review of alcohol consumption and related harm, a review of current alcohol and other drug services and resource allocations, and made recommendations for service development.
