Preventing Harmful Drug Use In Australia

Drug use at outdoor music festivals project

Drug use at outdoor music festivals project

This project is investigating drug use, drug policy and harm reduction at outdoor music festivals in two Australian states: Western Australia and Victoria. The findings from this project will be used to help develop recommendations aimed at reducing the risk of future drug-related harm at these events.

Data collection for this project has now closed and the results are currently being written. Some research findings are also currently being disseminated through relevant conferences and scholarly publication outlets (over 2017/18).

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this project, particularly the festival-goers and key stakeholders who generously donated their time to participate in interviews and complete surveys.

Any articles published from this study will be made available on this site.
