The National Drug Research Institute is a source of reliable scientific information on a range of issues concerned with the prevention of alcohol and other drug-related harm.

All public comment is based on the most recent research evidence ensuring that media reports are up to date, balanced and accurate.

The media plays an important role in disseminating the Institute's research findings into the community.

The Communications Officer oversees that dissemination and helps media obtain expert comment on alcohol and other drug-related issues.

The Institute issues media releases regularly and co-publishes a bi-monthly newsletter, CentreLines.
